Well
the "Ole Webmaster" has gotten lucky and met
up with Akira. She was nice enough to give us a short
interview and let us get to know who is behind that beautiful
smile. We hope you enjoy our chat and will take the time
out to explore her website. Well worth the cybertrip to
her pages. This is her frist interview with us. Read her

Truly
one of the most beautiful young Ladies gracing magazine pages
and many places on the internet, Akira was not only a pleasure
to chat with, but a recent look at her website was equally enjoyable.
Just think, on a dare, and a few shots of Tequila, she got her
start, an occurrence I am sure that most of you have no objections
over. She seems quite pleased!
Hi
Akira, thank you for joining us in a short chat. I was very happy
when you agreed to share a bit about yourself with
our visitors and me. Let me start out with
a simple question. You call your site Akira-PM. What does the
"PM" stand for?
Akira: I get
asked that question a lot and I think people often think it means
after midnight or some other sensual after-hours meaning. The
truth is that it stands for "Photographers and Models," and I
ended up with that URL because all other combinations of Akira
were already taken.
I
noticed you lived and studied in Virginia for a while, where
do you call home now?
Akira: Orange County, California.
I will spare you the standard age and measurement questions,
so let's try a different one. Give us your personality measurements.
Akira: Mostly, I like to smile and most
people seem to find me friendly and outgoing. "You are so friendly
and easy to talk to" seems to be the comments that I get often
at shows and public appearances. Like all women, I have my bitchy
moments and sometimes can't help but to offer directions and
see things done my way but that is more in my personal life.
I have

been blessed with many friends and hope to stay as I am.
What
do you think of Akira the woman. Do you feel you are attractive
or do you have any little pet peeves about yourself?
Akira: I don't think that any model is
happy with how she looks. The thing that I hate doing most is
picking out the images for my website because I am never completely
happy. I guess my tummy is my pet peeve as it never seems flat
enough.
|
When
did your first inkling appear with the idea of modeling? I read
about the tequila, but
was it always in the back of your mind?
Akira:
I really am a bit of
an exhibitionist and it happened
just as described on my website.
I
got crazy one night and for some reason consented some of the
tamer images to be posted on the internet and then photographers
began to call. After that, I quickly gathered up enough images
to start a website and here I am today.
Did you find it awkward or uncomfortable the first time you
did a nude set? When was that?
Akira: No, I kind of like it but I get
offended if there are a whole lot of extra people there just
to leer but as a general rule, nudity does not bother me.
Does
it bother you that men, and maybe women, look at you sexually
and maybe not the real person?
|
Akira: No, and both sexes do.
The internet isn't real - I will never get to meet most people
who visit my site and all they
are left with is an impression of
me and my images. I want them to enjoy both and hopefully become
a little aroused and a little curious about me as a person.
I think that there is enough personal information on my site
for people to get a flavor for me. As for the people I meet
and being the outgoing sort, I don't have a lot of problems
with being looked as in a sexual manner only.
My
biggest problem in that area is some (and very few) photographers
believe that they are entitled to take any kind of picture they
want, mislead the model and generally use the Model. It is typically
after one of those rare occurrences that I felt used or treated
in a sexual fashion.

How
much time do you actually spend working on your site?
Akira: Way too much. It is actually a
huge amount of work for relatively little financial return.
I probably spend 20 to 25 hours a week on the site, not counting
email and not counting the time that I am shooting content for
my site. I have to look at the website in the bigger picture;
it drives model bookings, merchandise sales and other opportunities.
However, at the end of the day, the site supports fantasies
(including my own) and is really a entertainment venue rather
than a means to gain mainstream fashion and lifestyle commercial
modeling opportunities.
You
recently appeared in Playboy(TM). What was the experience like?
Do you have any plans for future Playboy shots?
Akira: Playboy is a good company to
work for and I hope to continue appearing in both the magazine
and Playboy channel. (I have probably worked on four or five
different shows for the Playboy channel).
|
Have
you been to the Playboy mansion yet? It seems like a beautiful
place with the gardens and even a zoo!
Akira: I have gone a couple of times
and it was a lot of fun. It wasn't quite as glamorous as you may
think - I didn't see a single naked girl in the grotto. But I
met many interesting people and fellow models and it is a wonderful
place for stargazing.
I
see you have appeared in a number of publications. But is there
one magazine you would love to be featured in?
Akira: I would love to featured in
Playboy and I also like the style of FHM and MAXIM.
Somewhere I read you were interested in acting. Have you done
any movie roles as yet?
Akira: I have done a few minor roles
and if life goes well, my ambition is really to do more film
and acting.
|
|
If
you were offered a movie or even a TV series role, what
kind would you like to play?
With your great smile I think you would shine. Do you think
you could play a good villainess?
Akira: Without a doubt!
I unfortunately missed your segment on the 5th wheel. I usually
have the TV on in my office for some distraction and find that
show interesting and at times awkward. Tell us how that went...you
said you were the 5th wheel, how did it go?
Akira: I understand that it will not
air until October. I was the 5th Wheel and don't want to give
away too much of the show, so you can ask me again after it airs.
I know the adult industry is always looking to recruit new models
to do features and photo sets. Has the more explicit area of
the genre approached you?
Akira: All the time, but hardcore work is not for me and I have
no plans to do so. On the other hand, I have learned never to
say
|
"never"
and I have done more revealing work on my site that I ever thought
that I would.
How do you meet the other models you work with?
Akira: I generally meet them on location
or at events. For instance, Shae Marks was totally wonderful
to me the first time that I went to the Playboy Mansion.
Of all the models you have worked with, whom did you have the
most fun with?
Akira: I have had fun with many models,
but maybe Pauline of PaulineUnlmited is a very crazy lady. Tammy
Winters is a wonderful person and good to work with. For flat
out fun, Mika Tan is the funniest person that I know and she
keeps everyone around her in stitches.

Are
you good friends with any of the other Ladies you work with?
Akira:
Yes, too many to count although I would consider Josielyn Chase,
Tigerlily and Mika Tan as special friends.
Let
me put you on the spot, who are your favorite photographer and
model?
Akira: I don't have a favorite photographer
as there are so many styles. I certainly admire Kim Mizuno very
much. As for model, I like many of them and actually enjoy looking
at pictures of sexy women.
